Phil Pressey’s 21 points paced the No. 14 Tigers, as Missouri took care of Alcorn State by a score of 91-54 on Tuesday night at Mizzou Arena.
Missouri only led by seven points at halftime but Laurence Bowers, who scored all of his 14 points in the second half, helped the Tigers pull away.
Alex Oriakhi notched a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while freshman Negus Webster-Chan had five points, 11 rebounds and three steals. Earnest Ross also chipped in with a strong offensive effort, scoring 17 points.
Missouri will play Nicholls State on Friday night at Mizzou Arena before heading to the Bahamas to compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, which begins on Thanksgiving Day.
