The Missouri Tigers rounded out the exhibition portion of their 2012-2013 schedule, dismantling another in-state foe by a wide margin. On Sunday it was Missouri Southern falling to the Tigers, who were led by two freshman contributors to the victory.
Freshman forward Stefan Jankovic came off the bench to lead Missouri in points, with 20. Guard Negus Webster-Chan started in place of an ailing Keion Bell (undisclosed illness) and scored seven points. Jankovic and Webster-Chan were high school teammates at Huntington Prep in Ontario, Canada before both deciding to play college ball for Missouri.
The Tigers officially begin the regular season next Saturday, November 10 when they host SIU-Edwardsville. The game is set to tip off at 4p.m. and will be televised on the Missouri Sports Network.
