Senior Taiwo Adeshigbin and junior Alyssa Diggs scored two goals each in Missouri’s commanding victory over No. 11 Memphis Friday night in Missouri’s home opener.
Freshman Candace Johnson scored the first goal of the game — and the first of her college career — in the 15th minute. That 1-0 score held for the rest of the first half.
Missouri broke the game open in the second half, allowing playing time for most of the reserves.
The Tigers play at home again Sunday, Aug. 19 when they host UC Santa Barbara at 1 p.m. at Walton Stadium.
