The Missouri football team reported two injured players today.
Senior Travis Ruth, an offensive lineman, has a torn left triceps tendon. Ruth, who was projected to be the starting left guard, is scheduled to have surgery Thursday. He was a starting center for much of the 2011 season.
Taylor Chappell, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman, is out with a torn ACL in his left knee. He will have surgery sometime in the next two weeks. Chappell had been working with the starting offensive unit, replacing Justin Britt, who is out with a foot injury. Britt is expected back with the team sometime during camp.
Head Athletic Trainer Rex Sharp has not said the injuries are season-ending, saying that he hoped they would be back before the end of the season.
