The Missouri Tigers open the football season next week against Miami of Ohio. The team has been practicing since August 4 and after three scrimmages are doing well according to Coach Gary Pinkel. The team’s last scrimmage was Thursday, with the offense winning 32-28, however the defense won the other two scrimmages and bragging rights for this year’s pre-season camp.
“I thought overall (the scrimmage) was good work,” Pinkel said after Thursday’s scrimmage. “We’re excited camp is over and we’ll wake up Saturday morning and that’s when we’ll start the Miami (Ohio) week for us. We’re excited about that, playing in a game and getting into game mode.”
