Henry Josey teased Missouri fans with a 10-yard run on his only carry Sept. 4 against Illinois.
In Saturday’s 50-6 win over McNeese State, though, MU fans were able to see the full Josey package. The true freshman running back rushed seven times for 112 yards and three touchdowns in his Faurot Field debut, leading all MU running backs in those categories.
Josey’s three touchdowns were the first three of the game for MU, beginning with a pair of six-yard scampers to the end zone. He put an exclamation point on his day with a 62-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter, blowing by McNeese State’s defense and showing off his tantalizing speed.
After the game Josey spoke with the media, which included him fielding the inevitable question about The Outlaw Josey Wales, a 1976 Clint Eastwood film.
