VIDEO: Gary Pinkel on Munir Prince’s frightening injury

Missouri defensive back Munir Prince suffered a startling injury during practice Thursday, Aug. 26, that left the entire team rattled. Prince took a blindside hit while covering a punt and not only was knocked unconscious but suffered “transient quadiplegia,” a condition that renders the victim unable to feel or move extremities.

At Monday’s media day press conference, coach Gary Pinkel explained his reaction to the injury.

Pinkel also ran down a few other injuries Monday, including a note that Prince will be out of the hospital tomorrow.
